Marquise de Pompadour - Chevalier d'Éon
She was an actual person, Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, a well-known courtesan in 18th century France and the famous mistress of King Louis XV. One of my most ambitious costumes yet. I made it by myself and with no partern. My only regret - that I couldn't iron it because the iron in the hotel room was broken! Which fabric did you use?
The white is curtain sheers.
All the yellow is cotton or broadcloth.
And the maroon is ribbon.
